Rates & Payments

  • Is there a deposit?

    Yes, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment. ‍

    With a note "[Name-of-Service] [Your-Initials]," send deposits via:

    Venmo (@NaylaPiel),

    Zelle (naylapiel@gmail.Com).‍‍

    Example: "Skintervention TJ"

    If payment is not submitted within 24 hours, you forfeit the desired appointment & may request a new one.

  • What about rescheduling or cancellations?

    If you have to cancel or reschedule, the deposit will still count towards any service rescheduled within 10 days.

  • I don't feel comfortable with pre-paying, why won't you accept my appointment?

    Your deposit, or lack thereof, shows that you respect my time. It fosters respect in the new client-provider relationship that we are building. If you are excessively late, do a same day cancellation or no show you deprive another person who could've been seen instead. If I have reschedule I am happy to refund your deposit.

  • Do you have payment plans?

    At the moment no, however any combination of cash, Zelle, Venmo, Cashapp, or credits cards can be used to pay your balance leading up to or at the time of the service.

  • Do you keep my credit card information on file?

    Any card information will only be stored with your consent, to make checkout faster. I will charge your card without your express consent and the card can be removed at any time.

  • Professional products are way too expensive do you have any alternatives?

    Professional products can have a higher sticker price than alternatives. However, they are more concentrated and more cost effective over time. I always make final recommendations based on the price range selected in the consultation and agreed upon.

    If I can’t realistically meet your needs within a range please expect my transparency. Links provided outside of POMP Beauty or GlyMed will be hosted on my professional profile on ShopMyShelf.

  • Can’t I just order them from Amazon?

    I provide links from authorized retailers I know. I can’t guarantee the authenticity of your products from other sellers.

  • What is your travel fee?

    It varies by location.

    Brooklyn $25,

    NYC (including Queens, Harlem, Bronx, excluding Brooklyn) $35,

    Greater NY & Connecticut $35 + applicable tolls

    SKINCAMP Members have a set rate ($20) + applicable tolls.

  • Do you have a group rate?

    $95-120 per person depending on the desired treatments. Check out the Facials With Friends menu on the SKIN page.

  • What is your rate for SKINQUIRY virtual consultations?

    $70/hour

    SKINCAMP Members $60

    Most sessions are 30-45 minutes

  • Why are the SKINCAMP rates different?

    A perk of SKINCAMP membership is reduced service rates across the board for as long as you qualify.

Service Questions

  • How do I prep for my facial?

    Keep it simple, avoid use of retinol or exfoliation (scrubs, AHAs, BHAs) 48 hours before the facial.

  • How do I prep for lash extensions?

    Come barefaced, avoid the use of oil-based products leading up to lash application and for the duration for longevity. Oil-based products including mascara and growth serums will weaken the bonds of the glue and shorten the life of your set.

  • Why do I have to fill out that long consultation/consent form?

    A. The form(s) outline information I need to provide the best possible service, to avoid anything that could negatively impact you, etc.

  • Why should I get a consultation?

    Getting professional advice saves time, money and more skin issues.

  • I'm a student of Youtube University, I can do this myself or with some help from H*ram.

    Consultations are for anyone who wants to benefit from MY expertise as a licensed and practicing esthetician. Relying on YouTube or online reviews is a shot in the dark.

    Reviewers make recommendations of products that work for THEM, and unless stated otherwise usually do not have formal training to discern what would be appropriate for others.

  • How long is each consultation?

    Sessions start at 30 minutes. For audits, 30-45 minutes is usually more than enough to go through the all the products and answer questions along the way.

  • When will I see an improvement in my skin?

    Individual results will vary. Everyone’s needs, skin types, etc are different, however the cell cycle is roughly 30 days. Some slight improvements may be felt within the first 2 weeks, but sustainable results usually take at least 3 months.

  • Am I buying products from you?

    In your home, as long they are not in the immediate vicinity of the service it's fine by me! Book extra time if you need breaks to attend to them.
